Chiropractic Care:

From the moment I stepped into the chiropractic clinic, I felt welcomed and comfortable. Dr. Paul took the time to thoroughly assess my posture, spinal alignment, and medical history before recommending a personalized treatment plan. I’ve been dealing with chronic back pain for a few years, and after a few sessions, I noticed a significant reduction in discomfort. The adjustments were not only precise but also gentle, which helped alleviate tension in my muscles and joints. Dr. Paul also provided helpful stretches and lifestyle recommendations that I could do at home to maintain the improvements.

Acupuncture:

Acupuncture was something I had always been curious about but had never tried before. I was pleasantly surprised by how relaxing the session was. Dr. Paul was skilled and knowledgeable, and I felt little to no discomfort as the needles were gently inserted into various pressure points on my body. He was able to get my insurance to provide me and cover the cost of a back brace which helped so much while I sit at the computer for work. Through acupuncture, adjustments and physical therapy I was able get to a point where I felt some relief and able to walk and get out of bed without giving myself a pep talk. I'd always been skeptical of this type of practice. However, Doc Majer came highly recommended from a couple of people I know. On my initial visit to Majer Family Chiropractic Paul really educated me on what may be happening and how he can help. After a few visits my back already started feeling better. After several more visits I was feeling 100%. He had other advice as well regarding my health and wellness which I followed. Now I feel great and have been pain free for months.

Hindsight is 20/20. I wish I had gone for treatment much earlier. I highly recommend Majer Family Chiropractic!

What conditions are treated with Chiropractic care?

Most people seek out Chiropractic Care for back and neck pain. What a lot of people don’t know is Chiropractic is also great for shoulder pain, knee pain and reducing the frequency/intensity of headaches and chronic migraines. Additional symptoms where patients have found improvement thru chiropractic care include acid reflux, constipation, and asthma just to name a few.

Does Acupuncture hurt?

The idea of needles can be very scary for some, but acupuncture needles aren’t anything like needles that are used for immunizations or for drawing blood.

Acupuncturists use a needle that is as thin as a strand of hair, stainless steel, and disposable. While you may feel some sensation as the needles are inserted, it’s not described as painful. Some sensations you may feel have been described as:

Heavy—as if a weight is being placed on the area, but is perceived as calming, not oppressive.
Achy—an initial achiness at the site of the needle, which typically dissipates in seconds.
Electric—a quickly disappearing jolt related what is known in Chinese Medicine as the Da Qi
Tingly—acupuncture points can cause tingling at the site and through the body.
Warm—a pleasant feeling that spreads around the acupuncture point.

While acupuncture can cause some unusual sensations, it shouldn’t hurt. If it does, let your acupuncturist know right away so the needles can be adjusted. Often you wont even feel the needle go in.

Do you accept insurance?

At Majer Family Chiropractic we accept all major insurance providers. We are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and United Health Care. Once you provide us with your insurance information, we can verify the coverage you have for you.

What if I don't have insurance?

We offer a new, in-home patient consultation, exam, report of findings and adjustment for $100. We have several options available to make care affordable for those without insurance in need of care.

What should I expect on my first visit?

A typical first visit would include completing intake paperwork (if not completed prior to arrival), an explanation of Chiropractic/Acupuncture, a review of your intake paperwork and symptoms, a thorough examination, a report of finding from the exam, the Dr.’s recommended treatment plan addressing your problem areas and if appropriate, your first treatment. You should plan on being at the office for about an hour.

What do I need to bring with me on my first appointment?

You will need a photo ID and Insurance Card/payment method along with the intake paperwork if you filled it out prior to coming in.

What does care cost?

Cost for care will vary based on the services needed. After a thorough examination, Dr. Paul will discuss treatment recommendations with you and associated cost.

I have heard once you start chiropractic care, you will need it forever. Is that true?

This is a common misconception. The two main goals for most patients are pain relief and wellness. Many people start treatments because of pain. For patients in pain, the primary goal is getting out of pain. How long that takes varies based on many factors. Many people will start to get relief within the first few visits, however, it may take a few more to get full relief. Once patients have been relieved of their pain, they often realize all of the additional benefits to Chiropractic/Acupuncture care and choose to receive wellness care with regular treatments.
